This was inspired by reading psalms. The concept started easily enough and I focused on writing an easy to follow praise song. We now sing this song in our church on a regular basis.
I really was going through a tough time and facing some hard decisions. There didn't seem to be much hope or chance for change. This song came as a result of trying to find a reason to keep going on. I hope it encourages you like it did me...:)
This song tells a story of encountering the Lord when you least expect it and how it can change your course forever. I wrote this shortly after purchasing my Ovation acoustic and started writing in a more folk-like style.
I've always found music a great way to connect with God and this song really communicates how we can all have a special place with the Lord where's it's just Him and us. This was and inspired song that from a time of worship and was one of the first songs I ever wrote on the piano.
